| The Clairton VFD / EMS provides transportation services to residences needing transportation from hospitals to:
Call the on-duty supervisor at (412) 848-2032 or the station at (412) 233-5522 for arrangements. Transportation by Wheel Chair Van is available to all persons with limited mobility, and ambulance transportation for those who qualify (will require a physicians signature). For organizations needing transportation for patients locally, the Clairton Fire Department / EMS
Division would like to help. We have 2 of 4 units equipped with inverters available to assist with
transporting patients from area hospitals (all UPC included) to other area hospitals, or also the
Greater Pittsburgh International Airport or Allegheny County Airport. For transportation of fly in
patients beginning at the Allegheny County Airport 15 minutes notice is requested. For the Greater
Pittsburgh International Airport or area hospital allow 45 minutes notice. If transportation with our
crew only is requested after 5pm, please allow a 3 hours notice before pickup. ALS, BLS, fly in
pick-ups and fly-out pick-ups are available. To arrange a transport call (412) 475-0544. Thank you
